Dragon Jousting

I think we all agree there need to be a dragon jousting game... feature for dragontwin? Meant to end in a print sculpture, but of course got off-routed... rigging for the dragon is next, then i´ll want to find a pose for the 3dprint. At least i saved time using only vertex-paint materials.

First choice of the winged-cavalry is the heavily armored leather-back wyvern, which isn´t the fastest but can haul alot of weight and its anatomy is perfect for the dragon riders plattform.

The platform let the rider aim 360 degree into any direction, while having enough capacity to be comfortable for long flights.

the wide spikes on the spear-tip should force the lance to break instead of over-penetrating the target.

if the forces are too impactful on the lance the aiming pole head will open upwards so the lance is discarded away from the rider and the dragon.

might add more lances and some shields and equipment... the pole could also mount a heavy crossbow.

the rider might need some kind of belt fixed to the pole to keep him from falling off. Without the acoustic orders the wyvern will just follow its basic instinct which might end in attacking any friendly smaller dragons around.
